We were in Shanghai recently for a brainstorm and to work on a series of presentations. After the final presentation, we took an evening off to go exploring. Being Malaysian, we immediately set out to find the best food that Shanghai had to offer. While everything we had in Shanghai was new and unique and delicious, none of them came remotely close to this one for sheer visual impact. Two whole kilos of crustaceans (they were labeled baby lobsters by the shop) cooked with chili oil – a HUGE mountain of messy, spicy, cholesterol-laden goodness. Absolutely fresh, succulent and done to perfection; and quintessentially Shanghai-nese we were told. Yum! We’ll be back for more.
